A BRIEF EXPLANATION
Legend has it I spent 25 years in the woods doing nothing but play the guitar.
I have named myself after an imaginary obsolete analog tape recorder.
If you want to believe that story, you can!

Here are a couple of tracks from my most recent CD-R release, "Backatcha, Pod People!"
"Blues For Horselover Fat"
"13 Sheep" (writ by Evan Strauss)
My acoustic CD "It's A What?" was recorded in 2005 in the sweet Seattle Arts Institute studio suite, at the request of Lindsay Vari and other friends. Lindsay engineered.
Here is what that sounds like:
"Godless
Weather"
This is an acoustic version of a piece called "SkyPool", and is largely improvised.
here is something a bit more experimental:
"Headlands" - an instrumental for Marin County, CA, Earth
this mp3 was recorded in a park in Northern California, at night
Other good places to hear my current music include:
archive.org - where I have posted several recent acoustic performances.
Live is a good way to hear the music ... I improvise a lot, and I try to make every show a little different. Songs might be played faster, or slower, or in different keys.
